TELLING IT LIKE IT IS !

Once again Muslims make demands in America … and outrageously another company caves into their demands. They demanded to have breaks and meals times changed to accommodate Islam’s Ramadan.

In fact, earlier this week 300 Muslims walked off the job at a JBS Swift & Company meatpacking facility in Grand Island, Nebraska, and marched on city hall, complaining that they were denied time to pray at sunset during their month of Ramadan. Then, two days later the union announced that the company agreed to accommodate the Muslims’ demands.

On Wednesday the president of the local United Food and Commercial Workers Union said management at the Nebraska plant had agreed to temporarily change the timing of the second-shift lunch break to accommodate workers wanting time to pray at sunset during the Muslim observance of Ramadan. The company says the arrangement will be in effect for the remainder of Ramadan – through the end of this month.

This is not the first time Muslims have foisted their religious demands on private companies. At the Hormel plant in Austin, Minnesota the exact same problem took place. Not only that, this is going on all over the country. This is not localized to just one or two or three meatpacking plants. In fact, a similar incident happened recently at a Swift plant in Greeley, Colorado.

Groups of Muslims are demanding that others accommodate to their ways. They are trying to set a trend in America where their wishes and their holidays and their prayer time will be absolutely not only acknowledged but honored.

It is wrong to cave to the demands of those who are not Americans. Is there another nation on the earth where we can infiltrate and try to force our ways, beliefs, and culture on their citizens? No! Americans do not make those kinds of demands – and definitely no one would accommodate us in their homelands. Islam has become the politically correct religion of choice if America and if this trend continues, we are in serious trouble here.

If the non-Muslim employees walked off to city hall to protest the moving of their lunch hour, they would be fired. What other job do you know of where you can just walk out and not be fired on the spot? If they want to pray during their lunch hour … fine, but don’t ask everyone else to move their lunch hour. Christians cannot insist on a specific time off to pray. They have no choice on working on Sundays … they would be fired.

When people accept their job, they accept the condition of employment. Work time, place, benefits, salary, etc. This was a wildcat strike. Swift should have fired all of them. It would have sent a clear message to all Muslims in this country. If you don’t like it you can leave anytime you wish.

I say that when anybody comes to America from another nation legally they need to assimilate into our culture – not demand America to change to accommodate them. If they are illegal … it is time for them to return to where they came from. Muslims in America need to understand that they are not in a Muslim governed country. If they can’t handle that they need to go back to their country of origin.

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE

HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1) Press 1 for English is immediately banned.  English is the official language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.

(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to straighten out the country’s attitude. NO imports, no exports.  We will use the Wal-Mart‘s policy, ‘If we ain’t got it, you don’t need it.’

(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it.

(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of our many observation towers on the southern border for a six month tour.  They will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.

(5) Social security will immediately return to its original state.  If you didn’t put nuttin in, you ain’t gettin nuttin out.  The president nor any other politician will not be able to touch it.

(6) Welfare – Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40 hour school week and the successful completion of urinalysis and a passing grade.

(7) Professional Athletes – Steroids – The FIRST time you check positive you’re banned for life.

(8) Crime – We will adopt the Turkish method, the first time you steal, you lose your right hand.  There is no more life sentences.  If convicted, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for your victim; gun, knife, strangulation, etc.

(9) One export will be allowed: Wheat.  The world needs to eat.  A bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.

(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money will immediately cease, and the saved money will pay off the national debt and ultimately lower taxes.  When disasters occur around the world, we’ll ask the American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision whether it’s a worthy cause.

(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress.

(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.

Sorry if I stepped on anyone’s toes but a vote for me will get you better than what you have, and better than what you’re gonna get.

There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class.  One day while the class was in the lab the Professor noticed one young man (an exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter.  The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back.  He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a communist government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question.  He asked, ‘Do you know how to catch wild pigs?’

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.  The young man said this was no joke.

“You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground.  The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn.  When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming.  When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.  They get used to that and start to eat again.  You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.  The pigs that are used to the free corn start to come through the gate to eat, and then you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom.  They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught.  Soon they go back to eating the free corn.  They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.”

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America.  The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc, etc, etc. … while we continue to lose our freedoms – just a little at a time.

One should always remember: There is no such thing as a free Lunch!  Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

So, if you see that all of this wonderful government ‘help’ is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends.  If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably delete this, but God help you when the gate slams shut!

In this ‘very important’ election year, listen closely to what the candidates are promising you – just maybe, you will be able to tell who is about to slam the gate on America.

Random House paid $100,000 for The Jewel of Medina, Sherry Jones’ racy historical novel about Muhammad and his nine-year-old wife, Aisha, only to withdraw the book just days before its scheduled August 12 publication date. Random House deputy publisher Thomas Perry explained that they decided to drop the book after receiving, “from credible and unrelated sources, cautionary advice not only that the publication of this book might be offensive to some in the Muslim community, but also that it could incite acts of violence by a small, radical segment.” They decided “to postpone publication for the safety of the author, employees of Random House, booksellers and anyone else who would be involved in distribution and sale of the novel.”

This craven capitulation to violent intimidation came without any actual violent intimidation at all. Random House was smart enough to figure out, in these post-Salman Rushdie, post-Muhammad cartoons, post-Pope Rage days that publishing a book that Muslims find offensive could be hazardous to the health of a good many people.

It is curious that they let Jones work on The Jewel of Medina for six years only to remember Rushdie when her book was about to be published. That may be due to pressure from Denise A. Spellberg, an Associate Professor of History and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. When Spellberg received an advance copy of the book, she became “frantic” and contacted Shahed Amanullah, editor of the popular website altmuslim.com. “She was upset,” said Amanullah, because the book “made fun of Muslims and their history.” She later declared that The Jewel of Medina was a “very ugly, stupid piece of work…. You can’t play with a sacred history and turn it into soft core pornography.”

Spellberg denies charges that she was the “instigator” of Random House’s decision to deep-six Jones’ book. She says, “I felt it my duty to warn the press of the novel’s potential to provoke anger among some Muslims.” Yet Spellberg also maintains: “I do not espouse censorship of any kind, but I do value my right to critique those who abuse the past without regard for its richness or resonance in the present.”

Spellberg does seem to be right about The Jewel of Medina. The book rather improbably depicts the nine-year-old Aisha, at the moment of the consummation of her marriage to Muhammad, as finding “the bliss I had longed for all my life.” As evidenced by trash like this, the actual “richness and resonance in the present” of Muhammad’s marriage to the child Aisha is probably lost on both Spellberg and Jones. But due to Muhammad’s status in Islamic tradition as the supreme example of human conduct, child marriage is quite prevalent in some areas of the Islamic world today.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) reports that over half of the girls in Afghanistan and Bangladesh are married before they reach the age of eighteen. In early 2002, researchers in refugee camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan found half the girls married by age thirteen. In an Afghan refugee camp, more than two out of three second-grade girls were either married or engaged, and virtually all the girls who were beyond second grade were already married. One ten-year-old was engaged to a man of sixty. In early 2005 a Saudi man in his sixties drew international attention for marrying fifty-eight times; his most recent bride was a 14-year-old he married in the spring of 2004.

If Jones really wanted to offend Muslims, she could have made her novel a negative portrayal of Muhammad’s marriage to Aisha and a denunciation of the devastating effects child marriage has had upon untold numbers of girls in the Islamic world ever since. That would certainly have brought her opprobrium and threats, but she would have had the satisfaction of knowing that she was standing up for the dignity of the human person. As it is, her book does indeed seem to be as Spellberg describes it: a “very ugly, stupid piece of work.”

That being the case, however, since when has Random House or any American publisher refrained from publishing a book because it was ugly and stupid? When has any American publisher passed up a book because they thought it cheapened Jewish or Christian sacred history? Put down your copy of The Da Vinci Code and ponder that one for a minute.

It is becoming increasingly common for Americans to bow to pressure from Muslims to accommodate Islamic practices and mores.  It is also becoming common for the specter of violence to inhibit discussion of the elements of Islam that jihadists use to justify terrorism. Where will all this accommodation end? It will not end until America is a Sharia state, unless enough Americans begin to resist. Or, even if America never becomes anything remotely approximating a Sharia state, how much of our freedoms and rights will we allow to be eroded away before we stand up and call a halt to this?

If Random House had axed Jones’ book because it is silly and stupid, that would be no problem. But to explain that they did so because of the possibility of violence is only to reinforce the lesson that threats and violence work. And with that lesson re-taught, our freedoms will continue to erode.

What Would Jesus Do?  Well, it depends on who you ask.

According to Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, Jesus, the Son of God and Author of life would be in favor of suctioning viable babies from their mothers’ wombs and killing them.

On last night’s interview with Bill O’Reilly, the Obama supporter claimed that God’s Son would be “even more radical” than Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) on partial-birth abortion.

Hill tried to rationalize his wildly implausible claim to a skeptical Bill O’Reilly, who ended the interview with a challenge for Obama to explain this position.  Hill, an Associate Professor of Urban Education and American Studies at Temple University, who should never be teaching anybody, made this pronouncement when O’Reilly asked him to reconcile Obama’s faith with his distinction as America’s most pro-abortion politician.

Like many in the political arena, Hill has it backwards.  Instead of bringing his political views under the authority of Scripture … as God calls us to do … Hill is seeking to make Christianity conform to his liberalism.

As such, the interview speaks to a much broader problem in modern politics.  Leaders like Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) have tried for years to redefine Christianity so that it is compatible with their anti-life, anti-family agenda.  Many, like Obama, have turned the Bible into a theological smorgasbord where people are free to pick and choose their convictions.

When you untether Jesus from His Word, as Hill has done here, and Obama and other socialists have done, you can turn Jesus into an advocate of almost anything.  What matters, however, is not what Hill or anyone else says, but what the Bible says.  In Jeremiah 1:5, we read, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” Psalm 22:10 says, “… from my mother’s womb you have been my God.” And perhaps most importantly, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

In another attempt to lay a guilt trip on the United States for not signing Kyoto, a UN report will soon tell us that developing nations such as China and India are reducing greenhouse gas emissions by more than Kyoto Protocol standards. The implication of course is that if China can do it, then why not the USA and Western Europe? Once again, it’s America’s fault!

The UN report is an outright fabrication, even preposterous! But even more shocking is how the UN and China say they’ve accomplished this great feat.

The fact is China is awash in unregulated pollution. The respected journal, Geophysical Research Letters, recently reported that air pollution is out of control in China. “Antiquated factories billow smoke, many residents still use coal to heat their centuries-old houses, and a sharp increase in car ownership has bathed the motorways in exhaust fumes,” the report concluded. USA Today wrote in April 2007 that outside of Beijing, local chemical factories dump wastewater directly into the Feng Chan River, which is now black as ink. Nearby canals are so discolored, locals call it xiao hong he, or “little red river.”

What makes the UN draft report even more outrageous is the manner in which China claims to have reduced emissions. Hu Tao of China’s State Environmental Protection Administration proclaimed at a conference in Oslo last month that China “is doing a lot” to control emissions by enforcing it’s one-child policy. The less kids … the less pollution. Is this what’s next for Kyoto? Save the earth: Kill babies!

Human rights organizations, including the left-leaning Amnesty International, say that China enforces its one-child policy through bribery, infanticide, selective-sex abortions, and even forced abortions. Gao Xian Duan, former Chinese population control administrator, testified before a US House subcommittee in 1998 regarding her participation in nationwide forced sterilizations and abortions. http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/asiapcf/9806/11/china.abortion/

This is one more reason the United States should not only abandon any attempt to sign on to Kyoto, and keep the control of emissions in the hands of America, but to abandon the UN altogether. What is a cooler earth worth when babies are slaughtered anyway? Indeed the polar bears will not only live long and prosper … they will have the earth to their own.

Obama’s Trip: Non essentials, No Flags, No Wounded Soldiers … but shopping!

Sen. Barack Obama’s international globe-hopping to the Mideast and Europe was meant to shine his credentials as a foreign policy and potential military leader (of which he has none and isn’t one) – the strong suit of his Republican rival Sen. John McCain.

Despite the media love fest following him around like groupies, Obama has yet to pull away from McCain in the polls.  Both the most recent Real Clear Politics rolling average and the Rasmussen tracking poll that coincided with the end of Obama’s trip this weekend show Obama with just a five-point lead over McCain – consistent with his numbers for the past two months.  (Press reports this weekend have almost completely ignored the Rasmussen poll to only report on a Gallup poll, which showed Obama with a nine-point lead.  Not even as good as the Newsweek poll from June, which had Obama 15 points ahead of McCain.)

With the economy, gas prices, and growing resentment about the unending war in Iraq, Obama should be pulling away in the polls … but he isn’t.

As crowds cheered Obama globally, Americans here on the homefront were left wondering if the Illinois senator wants to be their president – or the president of some other country.  (And whether the major U.S. media would at least offer the pretense of objectivity. An MSNBC poll from last week found that 47% of the public thought the coverage of Obama’s trip was “excessive.”)  Campaigning in Europe?

After Obama’s speech to an estimated 200,000 Germans in Berlin, a columnist for Britain’s Guardian newspaper began his review this way: “Barack Obama has found his people.  But, unfortunately for his election prospects, they’re German, not American.”  Who cares if Germany wants change!

Obama’s speech to the Germans left much to be desired, from an American’s perspective.

For starters, the crowd’s size was beefed up by the fact that the event was billed as a free rock concert for German citizens, with popular musical performers helping to draw the big crowd.  Scant U.S. media even noted the warm-up rock draws of reggae artist Patrice and rock band Reamonn.

Then there was the simple stage, with the podium surrounded by three potted plants.  Missing (of course) was the American flag – nowhere to be seen.  Perhaps Obama’s staff might consider the U.S. flag offensive.

And then there was his speech, in which he proudly proclaimed he was in Germany as “a fellow citizen of the world.”

And there was the spectacle of the presidential wannabe going to a foreign land to apologize about the United States?  Obama told his German audience he was sorry about his country because “I know my country has not perfected itself.”  (This comment was made in the former seat of Nazi power.  A letter to editor published in Obama’s hometown Chicago Tribune noted the irony: “While America may not be perfect, there is no reason to apologize to the Germans, architects of the Holocaust.”)

As for America’s role in saving Germany from the onslaught of Stalinist communism and the subsequent Cold War, there was nothing.

There was a rhetorical talk about the Berlin Wall coming down, but nothing about the great American sacrifice, not to mention how our military might made President Reagan’s call – “Tear down this wall, Mr. Gorbachev” – a reality.

There was a fleeting mention of the famous Berlin airlift of 1948 that President Truman ordered to thwart the Soviet blockade that sought to starve West Berlin.

As Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby wrote, “Obama seemed to go out of his way not to say plainly that what saved Berlin in that dark time was America’s military might.

“Save for a solitary reference to ‘the first American plane,’ he never described one of the greatest American operations of the postwar period as an American operation at all.  He spoke only of ‘the airlift,’ ‘the planes,’ ‘those pilots.’  Perhaps their American identity wasn’t something he cared to stress amid all his ‘people of the world’ salutations and talk of ‘global citizenship.'”

The Hollywood-staged Obama event for a man who has yet to ascend to the presidency didn’t sit well with all the Germans.  Germany’s Stern magazine carried the headline “Barack Kant Saves the World.”  One of their columnists, Florian Güssgen, wrote: “The man is perfect, impeccable, slick.  Almost too slick … Obama’s speech was often vague, sometimes banal and more reminiscent of John Lennon’s feel good song ‘Imagine’ than of a foreign policy agenda.”

Slickness without substance seemed to be the enduring theme of his trip.  Among the little hiccups covered up by the major media, there were several gaffes on the global coronation trip.

Perhaps the most notable – and reprehensible – was Obama’s decision to cancel a visit to wounded American soldiers at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in southern Germany.  Apparently, the Pentagon informed Obama that since his visit was a political one, the hospital visit would be only open to him and his official Senate staff.  This excluded the press and campaign officials.

The Pentagon did offer to allow Obama’s campaign plane to land at the nearby U.S. air base at Ramstein.  The media also was to be accommodated there.  Without the photo opportunity and his press entourage, Obama declined to meet the wounded soldiers.  At first, Obama’s campaign claimed to the press he decided to cancel the trip to visit the troops because it was “a trip funded by the campaign,” and therefore somehow inappropriate.  (What is inappropriate about a presidential candidate visiting wounded troops?)

But the Obama story belies the fact it was only after the Pentagon closed the event to his traveling press, that Obama’s campaign nixed the event.  Rightfully, McCain noted that it is never inappropriate for a candidate or official to visit U.S. troops.

“If I had been told by the Pentagon that I couldn’t visit those troops, and I was there and wanted to be there, I guarantee you, there would have been a seismic event,” McCain said.

McCain continued the attack on ABC News Sunday show “This Week”: “Those troops would have loved to see him, and I know of no Pentagon regulation that would’ve prevented him from going there” without the news media.

The McCain campaign has been quick to pounce on Obama’s obvious slight to the troops and double-talk, airing a new commercial this weekend.  “And now, he made time to go to the gym, but canceled a visit with wounded troops,” the ad says. “Seems the Pentagon wouldn’t allow him to bring cameras.  John McCain is always there for our troops.”

McCain added that Obama “certainly found time to do other things.”  One of those other things Obama did was visit Paris and hold a joint press conference with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, typical of an American president visiting the French capital.

Interestingly, The New York Times quoted Elysee officials that “Obama aides insisted that an American flag not be displayed alongside the French flag because Mr. Obama is only a visiting senator and not the president.”  There is no protocol preventing an American official from having the flag displayed when abroad.  (If anyone … government officials should know flag protocol.)  But, then again, I doubt if Obama and his cronies even care?

America is snubbed once again by lame excuses and lame people!

Taking a page from the playbook of William Jefferson Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama is moving to the right!  At least that’s what he wants the American public to think!

• The Chicago Tribune proclaimed, “Obama Moving Toward Center” and TIME magazine pitched, “Obama’s Supreme Move to the Center.”
• Obama is claiming on his campaign website that he possesses “values straight from the Kansas heartland.”
• And the Obama campaign recently announced their “Joshua Project” which, according to the Obama campaign, is the “campaign’s outreach to young people of faith.  There’s unprecedented energy and excitement for Obama among young evangelicals and Catholics. The Joshua Generation project will tap into that excitement and provide young people of faith opportunities to stand up for their values and move the campaign forward.”

Do not be deceived.  Make no mistake.  What you are witnessing is the beginning of what will be a coordinated effort by Obama and his allies in the liberal media to fool patriotic Americans into believing that Barack Hussein Obama shares the deeply held values of the people of the United States – values that make this nation great and secure our freedoms.

And before you dismiss this effort, shake your head in disbelief or simply laugh it off, know one thing… IT WILL WORK!  It is a masterful political calculation! It has worked in the past and it WILL work again!

Franklin Graham recently stated: “If one third of white evangelicals voted for Bill Clinton the second time, at the height of Monica Lewinsky mess – that’s a statistic I didn’t believe at first but I double and triple checked it – I would not be surprised if that many or more voted for Barack Obama in this election… I will not be surprised if he gets one third of the evangelical vote. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was 40-percent.”

And the Obama camp is NOT JUST TARGETING EVANGELICALS! Obama is targeting ALL patriotic Americans!

Obama Values And Your Taxes…

Barack Hussein Obama WILL raise your taxes!  He won’t just raise taxes on the “rich.” He’ll raise YOUR TAXES!  He’ll raise your children’s taxes.  He’ll raise your grandchildren’s taxes!

To paraphrase former-President Ronald Reagan, if it moves, he WILL tax it!

According to CBS News “Obama says he will institute ‘a middle-class tax cut that will provide $1,000 of relief to 95% of workers and their families.’ He also wants to eliminate income taxes for retirees making less than $50,000 per year.”

Remember what happened the last time a Democrat running for the presidency promised a middle-class tax cut?

In his very FIRST campaign ad which aired in January of 1992 Bill Clinton stated: “I’m Bill Clinton and I believe that you deserve more than 30-second ads and vague promises. That’s why I’ve offered a comprehensive plan to get our economy moving again, to take care of our own people, and regain our economic leadership. It starts with a tax cut for the middle class and asks the rich to pay their fair share.”

And he repeated that promise continuously.  In September of 1992 he said: “We will lower the tax burden on the middle class.” In October of 1992 he stated, “I will not raise taxes on the middle class.”

But within DAYS of taking office, Clinton reneged on that promise. On nationwide television he said he ‘tried as hard as he could’ but just couldn’t deliver!  At least he ‘felt our pain’.  You could see the heartfelt agony in his face over breaking that promise!

It only took him a matter of days to decide that he tried as hard as he could… maybe that’s what he meant when he said sometimes you’ve got to “have the courage to quit.”

But amazingly, on January 14, 1993 – suffering from an apparent case of amnesia – he defiantly stated: “From New Hampshire forward, for reasons that absolutely mystified me, the press thought the most important issue in the race was the middle class tax cut. I never did meet any voter who thought that.”

And then it only took him about TWO MONTHS to push the largest tax increase in United States history on the American people through Congress!  It was one of his top priorities!

But Barack Hussein Obama is no Bill Clinton you may say. Well, let’s look at what Obama said when it came to taxes while on the campaign trail:

• At the Democratic Presidential Debate at Howard University on June 28, 2007, Obama said: “And the Bush tax cuts – people didn’t need them, and they weren’t even asking for them, and that’s why they need to be less, so that we can pay for universal health care and other initiatives.”
• In his response to the 2008 State of the Union Address, Obama stated: “[W]e know that at a time of war and economic hardship, the last thing we need is a permanent tax cut for Americans who don’t need them and weren’t even asking for them.”
• When questioned on the issue of taxes at the Democratic Presidential Debate in Los Angeles, California on January 30, 2008, Obama proudly boasted: “I’m not bashful about it.” A middle-class tax cut?

And now that you KNOW THE FACTS, it’s vitally important that ALL AMERICANS KNOW that when it comes to raising taxes, Obama DOES NOT share our values.

Obama Values and Gas Prices…

Last week we produced a hard-hitting television ad in which Barack Hussein Obama said in his own words: We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times… and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK…. That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen.”

In a nutshell, that’s Obama’s solution to the rising price of gasoline at the pump and food at the grocery store and the prospect of your family freezing this winter.

Now what I’m about to say may shock you; BUT THE REAL OBAMA SOLUTION IS A VIABLE SOLUTION. Simply stated, the problem is that we are paying too much for gasoline and food and heat for our homes. And simply stated, there are only TWO possible solutions to the problem:

1)  Increase the supply of oil and other energy resources in order to drive the price down so we can consume as much affordable energy as we want – that’s called “freedom” and “self-determination.” It’s what our Founding Fathers meant by “promote the general welfare and secure the blessing of liberty… .”

2)  Force a change of lifestyle on the American people.  Tax energy and drive the price up so that we have no choice but to consume less; or better yet, give government control over the means of production – that’s called socialism!  The price may go up… the supply may go down… but each of us will spend less for food and fuel… PROBLEM SOLVED!

The Obama solution is viable… it’s just not the solution that people want.  Obama knows that and his allies in the media know it.

That’s what’s behind his sudden move to the right and we must be prepared to remind ALL AMERICANS where Barack Hussein Obama really stands – in his own words when possible.

Obama Values And YOUR Health Care…

Let’s look at one of Obama’s statements on raising taxes again: “And the Bush tax cuts – people didn’t need them, and they weren’t even asking for them, and that’s why they need to be less, so that we can pay for universal health care and other initiatives reiterated.

Obama his support for universal health care at the Democratic Presidential Debate in Cleveland Ohio on February 26, 2008: “Well, look, I believe in universal health care, as does Sen. Clinton. And the point of the debate, is that Sen. Clinton repeatedly claims that I don’t stand for universal health care. And, you know, for Sen. Clinton to say that, I think, is simply not accurate.”

Kenneth Blackwell, chairman of the Coalition for a Conservative Majority, tells us the following about Barack Hussein Obama’s plan for universal heath care: “He wants the central government to make all of those decisions for you and your family. A massive federal bureaucracy will decide what medical procedures doctors can perform, who qualifies for what treatments, and who can perform what services.”

“The price tag for this bureaucratic colossus is a stunning $800 billion, and that is just for starters. And how will he pay for this? He is going to raise taxes. While some might say that would all come from ‘the rich,’ even a quick glance shows ‘the rich’ cannot provide almost a trillion dollars.”

And just in case you don’t believe universal health care will drive up YOUR taxes tremendously and eradicate the quality of care we’ve come accustomed to receiving in this country, consider the following tidbits about the crown jewel of universal health care; Canada.

According to figures and incidents discussed by J. Patrick Rooney and Dan Perrin in their book, America’s Health Care Crisis Solved

• Ninety percent of Canadian heart specialists say they’ve given preferential treatment to patients for non-medical reasons . Among other things, that means bumping them up to the head of the line… their Aunt Grace… their weekend golf partner… the guy who hands them an envelope containing $10,000 in small, unmarked bills. So the system is routinely violated by doctors in Canada…. SO MUCH FOR EQUALITY!
• Health-care costs are gobbling up revenues and driving up taxes in the provinces. In 1958, the federal government paid half of the medical bills for Canadians. Today it pays less than one-fourth. In Saskatchewan, for example, health care eats up 40 % of the budget.
• Dr. David Gratzer of the Manhattan Institute estimates that health care costs each Canadian worker 21 cents out of every dollar earned That would come to over $10,000.00 for a person making $50,000 per year and that’s above and beyond the other taxes you pay.

Is this how you see your future?  Is this what you want?  You’re not powerless.  You can do something about it!

Obama Values And Christian Values…

Since Obama is touting his “Christian faith,” it’s only fair to talk about it and about where he stands on some of the moral and social issues of the day!

It is only reasonable to assume that any man who talks about his “Christian faith” should at least attempt to be sincere in his faith.  Anything less than sincerity would clearly indicate a defect in character… and, yes, CHARACTER DOES COUNT!

The Internet publication, WorldNetDaily.com, quotes conservative columnist Cal Thomas and sums it up quite well: “Besides the apparent conflict between Obama’s support for abortion and Christian beliefs, Thomas said there are other legitimate questions that remain unanswered by the Obama campaign regarding the senator’s claim to be a Christian.”

“‘Obama has declared himself a committed Christian. He can call himself anything he likes, but there are certain markers among the evangelicals he is courting that one must meet in order to qualify for that label,’ Thomas said.

“He cites Obama’s expressed belief in ‘many paths to the same place.’

“‘There is a clear requirement for one to qualify as a Christian and Obama doesn’t meet that requirement. One cannot deny central tenets of the Christian faith, including the deity and uniqueness of Christ as the sole mediator between God and man and be a Christian. Such people do have a label applied to them in Scripture. They are called ‘false prophets,’ Thomas wrote.”

But that’s not all:

• Barack Obama received a 100% rating from NARAL in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
• In 1997, while serving in the Illinois State Legislature, Obama voted AGAINST SB 230, a bill which would have banned the horrid practice of partial birth abortion – a “procedure” so barbaric that it is even opposed by people who are not pro-life.
• While serving in the United States Senate, Obama voted against the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (S.403), a bill designed to prevent minors from being taken across state lines without the consent of the parents to have an abortion in circumvention of the laws of 45 states which require parental consent or notification in order for a minor to have an abortion (i.e. that means an adult male would not be able to transport the teen-age girl he impregnated across state lines for a ‘hush-hush abortion’ to cover his crimes)
• In 2002, while serving in the Illinois State Legislature, Obama voted “No” on the Born Alive Infant Protection Package (SB 1661), a bill which would create a cause of action against a physician if a child is born alive after an attempted abortion and the physician, harms, neglects or fails to provide medical care for the child.
• In 2003, Obama voted “Yes” on legislation supported by both Planned Parenthood and the ACLU that would allow so-called “age appropriate” sex education to be taught to little children in grade school.

Obama says he possesses “values straight from the Kansas heartland.”

His record indicates he possesses values from the Kansas chapter of the ACLU.

The American people NEED TO KNOW where Barack Hussein Obama really stands.  The American people NEED TO KNOW his REAL RECORD.

Remember, the vast majority of Americans DO NOT listen to talk radio or FOX News.  The majority of Americans – many of whom do not share Barack Hussein Obama’s extreme “values” still get their news from the liberal media!

And Obama’s allies in the liberal media AREN’T GOING TO EXPOSE OBAMA!

Every American needs to know the REAL BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA!

Barack Hussein Obama will spend millions of dollars in an attempt to make millions of Americans believe that he shares their values, and his allies in the liberal media will back his play every step of the way.

New Yorker Cover: Obama as Muslim

WASHINGTON – Barack Obama’s campaign says a satirical New Yorker magazine cover showing the Democratic presidential candidate dressed as a Muslim and his wife as a terrorist is “tasteless and offensive.”

The illustration on the issue that hits newsstands Monday, titled “The Politics of Fear” and drawn by Barry Blitt, depicts Barack Obama wearing traditional Muslim garb – sandals, robe and turban – and his wife, Michelle – dressed in camouflage, combat boots and an assault rifle strapped over her shoulder – standing in the Oval Office.

The couple is doing a fist tap in front of a fireplace in which an American flag is burning. Over the mantle hangs a portrait of Osama bin Laden.

“The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama’s right-wing critics have tried to create,” said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton. “But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree.”

A spokeswoman for The New Yorker did not immediately return a call to The Associated Press.

The magazine’s editor, David Remnick, said in a statement to the Daily News in New York that he was surprised by the reaction.

The cover “combines a number of fantastical images about the Obamas and shows them (the images) for the obvious distortions they are,” he said.

“Satire is part of what we do, and it is meant to bring things out into the open, to hold up a mirror to the absurd,” Remnick said.

Republican John McCain’s campaign spokesman, Tucker Bonds, agreed that the cover was “tasteless and offensive.”

Already the cover was generating controversy on the Internet.

The Huffington Post, a left-leaning blog, said: “Anyone who’s tried to paint Obama as a Muslim, anyone who’s tried to portray Michelle as angry or a secret revolutionary out to get Whitey, anyone who has questioned their patriotism – well, here’s your image.”
