ITS OKAY AMERICA … ITS JUST ANOTHER CHRISTIAN MARTYR !

Posted by straight shooter on April 24, 2008 under Political, Religion, Terrorism

christian-martyrdom-vom.jpgEvery night on the news we hear updates of violence in Iraq. The war continues and commentators debate whether American soldiers should be there or not. We hear little of the positive changes that are happening, but what we do not hear about is the plight of Christian nationals in Iraq. For those who are, or convert to, Christianity, a spiritual war wages every day … not just in Iraq but in all Muslim countries.

The efforts to silence, intimidate, and kill the infidels (all those who are not Muslim … especially Christians) resonates from the mouths and hearts of those devoted to the Koran and to Mohammed. They have no problem killing those who will not join them … even if you are family.

When *Muhammad first converted to Christianity from Islam, he kept his new faith a secret. In fact, the first person he told outside of his wife and son was a Christian named *Joseph. He knew the risks of sharing his faith with others in his homeland of Iraq but felt led to do so anyway. So he then witnessed to his extended family. Following radical and normal teachings of Islam, his family members killed *Muhammad. (*Actual names changed to protect the families.)

*Muhammad’s widow sent *Muhammad’s friend *Joseph an e-mail after the martyrdom of her husband. She wrote: “I have bad news. *Muhammad is dead. Our family killed him for sharing his new faith in Jesus Christ. I miss him dearly. *Muhammad left me two important things: my son and our Bible. I’ll never forget why he died. He died for Jesus. I believe Jesus will help me. Tell the people [other Christians] to pray for me.”

Muhammad’s widow and son are now being supported by VOM’s (Voice of the Martyrs) Families of Martyrs fund. VOM reaches out to families who have been victims of severe persecution and martyrdom. Weekly the martyr cases increase.

America is silent on the martyrdom of Christians and the ethnic cleansing of Christians from Muslim countries and the countries they are taking over by the “sword.” Check out the Koran.

Shame on the politicians who continue to ignore such atrocities as the lives of people are sacrifice daily.

ELEVEN RULES OF REALITY !

Posted by straight shooter on April 23, 2008 under Social Concerns

A speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. How feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1: Life is not fair – get used to it!

Rule 2: The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won’t be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath you r dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent’s generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they’ll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

GETTING DOWN TO EARTH

Posted by straight shooter on April 23, 2008 under Abortion, Environmentally Speaking

An estimated billion people celebrated Earth Day around the world yesterday, but few seem to understand tEnvironmental Extemismhe true motivation for this day. It is not just another reminder to use recycled paper or drive energy-efficient cars … one day out of the year to make everyone feel like they have contributed to save the earth, which is very much alive, from dying. The greater, usually lower key, objective is a calculated attack on the sanctity of human life. Population control is, and has been, inextricably linked to the environmental and abortion movements.

For years, the Sierra Club and other “green” militants have said that the best way to consume fewer resources is to have fewer children. Their own website says, “Talk to your decision-makers and demand an increase of funding for voluntary family planning programs and access to comprehensive sex education for young people.” This is the plan to keep the abortuaries and Planned Parenthood busy.

Last year, Optimum Population Trust released a paper that was even less subtle. It claimed that children are “bad for the planet” and called on nations to reduce the global population by five billion – which would only be possible by forced abortion and sterilization. Something they are willing to do … something that is unnecessary.

And how could we forget Barry Walters? This is the Australian professor that published an article last year advocating a “baby tax” for every couple with more than two children. The interesting thing is that most of the people having more than two children could never pay such a tax.

The driven “so called crisis” of the day is global warming. Not only is it alarmist capitalism trying to find a new way to extract money from everybody possible, it is not even true. We have had weather and climate cycle changes for years and it will not change. But even this is just another excuse to fund “Planet” Parenthood and similar groups.

The bottom line is that the stewardship of God’s creation is the responsibility of every Christian. Yes, take care of the earth in a responsible manner but let’s use a balanced manner to do so – not an extremist.

We must realize that there is a greater threat to the environment than climate change or scarce resources – and that’s the threat of environmental extremism that elevates the planet above people. That is exactly what the global warming scare tactics do.

Maybe Christians should do this on another day to show good stewardship … not on the day where the focus is the worship of planet earth and the support of population control via abortion, sterilization and euthanasia?

NOW FOR THE REST OF THE STORY OBAMA!

Obama’s Rev. Wright Myth

In his speech on race, Barack Obama tried to explain away his longtime minister’s denunciations of America by saying that for blacks of his generation, memories of “humiliation and doubt and fear have not gone away.” Read on because Rev. Wright was far, far away from growing up on the wrong side of the tracks.

An examination of the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.’s background reveals that Obama’s characterization of his upbringing is mythology.

Wright, described by Obama as his sounding board and mentor for more than two decades, was born in Philadelphia in 1941. He lived in a racially mixed section called Germantown, which consisted of homes on broad tree-lined streets in northwest Philadelphia. The owners then were middle-class families. For 62 years, Wright’s father, the Rev. Jeremiah Alvesta Wright, was pastor at Grace Baptist Church of Germantown. He was one of the first blacks to receive a degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.

Wright’s mother, Mary Elizabeth Henderson Wright, was a schoolteacher. She was the first black to teach an academic subject at Roosevelt Junior High, the first to teach at Germantown High, and the first to teach at the Philadelphia High School for Girls. She became vice principal of Girls High in 1968.

Rather than attend the more racially mixed Germantown High School at 40 East High Street, the now Rev. Jeremiah Wright traveled a few miles to the elite Central High School at 1700 West Olney Avenue, graduating in 1959. Opened in 1838, Central High has a distinguished past and admits only highly-qualified applicants who are privileged to attend from all over the city. It is comparable to the Bronx High School of Science and Boston Latin School, both public schools known for academic excellence.

When Wright attended Central High, the student body was 90% white, according to students interviewed who attended around the same time. At least 75% of the students were Jewish. Former students of the period say racial tension did not exist.

Bill Cosby, who attended the school until transferring to Germantown High, has referred to Central as a “wonderful” school. In contrast to Wright, Cosby has denounced blacks who take refuge in self-pitying victimhood and seek to blame whites for problems in the black community.

“Central High was a marvelous academic environment,” says Tod Mammuth, who graduated in 1965 and is now a Philadelphia-area lawyer. “You had to have high academic credentials to be accepted and a high IQ score. Many later said it was more rigorous than college. We had no racial friction.”

In college, “I was so far advanced from the normal kids, it was almost unbelievable,” says H. Yale Gutnick, who graduated from Central High in 1960 and is a Pittsburgh lawyer. “In my freshman year, I didn’t have to do anything. I had already read most of what we had to read in English class, and I was equally advanced in the other academic areas.”

The 211th class yearbook described Wright as a respected member of the class. “Always ready with a kind word, Jerry is one of the most congenial members of the 211,” the yearbook said. “His record in Central is a model for lower class [meaning younger in context] members to emulate.”

Saying Wright can be compared to the school handbook’s description of “an educated man,” the description said Wright was “the epitome of what Central endeavors to imbue in its students.”

Next to a photo of Wright wearing black-rimmed glasses, the yearbook listed seven extra-curricular activities, including junior varsity football, band, school orchestra, and swing band.

In contrast to Wright’s comfortable upbringing, Morton A. Klein, who also attended Central High around the same time, lived in a poor, virtually all-black section called West Oak Lane. “Four times a year, we would go to get big boxes of used clothing that was our wardrobe for the year. I never resented it. I was thrilled with my clothes,” says Klein, who was an economist in the Nixon, Ford, and Carter administrations and is now president of the Zionist Organization of America.

“We never went out to eat,” says Klein. “We had no car. We did not go to summer camp or take vacations. I had dozens of black friends. We played in the street every day. I remember my childhood as wonderful, and it certainly did not breed hatred of America. I loved America.”

In contrast, the man Obama describes as being like an uncle has blamed America and whites for starting the AIDS virus to kill off blacks, training professional killers, importing drugs, and creating a racist society to oppress blacks. “The government gives them drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law, and then wants to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, not ‘God Bless America’ – God damn America,” Wright has said.

In a similar vein, Michelle Obama has said she is proud of America for the first time. A handful of days ago Obama said Americans in small towns are “bitter” and cling in frustration to “guns, or religion, or antipathy to people who aren’t like them…”

In his speech on race, Obama sought to evoke sympathy for Wright. He described a “lack of economic opportunity among black men, and the shame and frustration that came from not being able to provide for one’s family…” Obama fails to recognize that the frustration really isn’t opportunity … it is desire, drive and discipline … not handouts and quotas … that those who are willing to work hard will achieve no matter what color a person’s skin!

Obama said this was “the reality in which Rev. Wright and other African-Americans of his generation grew up. They came of age in the late fifties and early sixties, a time when segregation was still the law of the land and opportunity was systematically constricted….Even for those blacks who did make it, questions of race, and racism, continue to define their worldview in fundamental ways. For the men and women of Rev. Wright’s generation, the memories of humiliation and doubt and fear have not gone away; nor has the anger and the bitterness of those years.”

In retirement, Wright will continue a life of privilege that dates back to Central High. As a retirement gift, Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ is building him a million-dollar home abutting Odyssey Country Club and Golf Course in the nearly all-white Chicago suburb of Tinley Park. The home sits on land the pastor purchased in 2004 for $345,000. In December 2006, Wright sold the land to his church, which took out a $1.6 million mortgage on the property. In April 2007, the church applied for a building permit for the brick and stone structure. Wright’s new home has 10,340 square feet of space, about four times the size of a typical suburban house. It includes four bedrooms, an elevator, an exercise room, and a four-car garage.

Rather than being a victim of oppression of blacks, as Obama has claimed, Wright is a symbol of the American dream. Rather than meriting sympathy, he exemplifies what Fox News contributor Juan Williams describes as black leaders who orchestrate support for themselves by manipulating blacks into seeing themselves as victims, creating a black “culture of failure.” Move over Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, there’s a new kid on the block … that will further victimize the black community and keep them from being the people they say they desire to be.

Obama’s attempt to excuse Wright’s hate-America rhetoric by deceptively describing his personal history and his failure to condemn him as a bigot speak volumes about the candidate’s own character and fitness to lead the country. Deception reigns once again … and we all should know that deception is equivalent to a lie!

Obama is not, and would not, be a president of the American people any more than Wright really cares about the best for the blacks of America.  Obama is for the American elite … don’t buy the lie from a wolf in sheep’s clothing!

OBAMA WOOS GUN-TOTING GOD NUTS !

Posted by straight shooter on April 16, 2008 under Political

I don’t always agree with Ann Coulter, but most times she is right and makes good sense. She does her homework but at times her delivery can offend. I do believe this article is right on target though and worthy to be reposted. (I did highlight a few things.)

Obama Woos Gun-Toting God Nuts

by Ann Coulter
Posted 04/16/2008 ET

The Democrats’ “Fake-Out America” adviser, Berkeley linguistics professor George Lakoff, must be beside himself. Despite Lakoff’s years spent training Democrats to “frame” their language to stop scaring Americans, B. Hussein Obama was caught on tape speaking candidly to other liberals in San Francisco last week.

One minute Obama was bowling in with nice, ordinary people wearing “Beer Hunter” T-shirts, and the next thing you know, he was issuing a report on the psychological traits of normal Americans to rich liberals in San Francisco.

Obama informed the San Francisco plutocrats that these crazy working-class people are so bitter, they actually believe in God! And not just the 12-step meeting, higher power, “as you conceive him or her to be” kind of God. The regular, old-fashioned, almighty sort of “God.”

As Obama put it: “(T)hey get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

The rich liberals must have nearly fainted at the revelation that the denizens of small towns in Pennsylvania have absolutely concern for the rich’s ability to acquire servants from Mexico at a reasonable price.

We don’t know much about Obama’s audience, other than that four fundraisers were held on April 6 at the homes of San Francisco’s rich and mighty, such as Alex Mehran, an Iranian who went into daddy’s business and married an IBM heiress, and Gordon Getty, heir to the Getty Oil fortune.

It is not known whether any of Getty’s three illegitimate children attended the Obama fundraiser – which turned out to be more of a McCain fundraiser – but photos from the event indicate that there were a fair number of armed (and presumably bitter) policemen providing security for the billionaire’s soiree.

In 1967, Gordon sued his own father to get his hands on money from the family trust – and lost. So Gordon Getty knows from bitter. It’s a wonder he hasn’t turned to guns, or even to immigrant-bashing. There are enough of them working on his home.

These are the sort of well-adjusted individuals to whom Obama is offering psychological profiles of normal Americans, including their bizarre theories about how jobs being sent to foreign countries and illegal-alien labor undercutting American workers might have something to do with their own economic misfortunes.

It’s going to take a lot of “framing” for Democrats to recast Obama’s explanation to the San Francisco cafe society that gun ownership and a belief in God are the byproducts of a psychological disorder brought on by economic hardship.

It is an article of faith with the Democrats that they must fool Americans by simulating agreement with normal people. The winner of the Democratic primary is always the candidate who does the best impersonation of an American.

But then, after all their hard work making believe they’re into NASCAR and God, some Democrat invariably slips and lets us know it’s all a big fake-out. They’re like a gay guy trying to act straight who accidentally refers to Brad Pitt as “yummy!”

The Democrats’ last phony American (or perhaps I should say “faux American”) was John Kerry, who famously said that if “you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

Kerry claimed this was not an accurate reflection of his feelings about the troops, despite a four-decade record of contempt for them, including accusing American troops of being baby-killers during the Vietnam War.

Rather, he said, it was a “botched joke.” (In Kerry’s defense, he was the opening act for Randi Rhodes’ stand-up comedy show at the time.) But as with his military records, Kerry refused to allow his joke-writer to release any of the jokes cut from that speech.

In case there was any confusion, other Democrats immediately clarified their position by going on television and saying – as Rep. Charlie Rangel did – that our troops are people who don’t have the option of having “a decent career.”

These Democrats can’t even pull off attending a NASCAR race without embarrassing themselves. In August 2004, Kerry exclaimed: “Who among us does not love NASCAR?” And then, about six months ago, Democratic congressional staffers to Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., sent out a memo urging aides going to NASCAR races to get inoculated before attending.

Obama had been so careful until now, “framing” his message as “change” – rather than partial birth abortion, driver’s licenses for illegal aliens, tax hikes, socialized medicine and abandoning mandatory minimum prison sentences for federal crimes.

His message is “change” – not that his wife has not been proud to be an American for most of her life.

He is for “change” – and don’t mind the crazy racist loon who has been Obama’s spiritual mentor for two decades.

One can only hope that Obama got his shots before bowling in Altoona, PA.

HERE IS WHAT BARACK OBAMA REALLY THINKS ABOUT PENNSYLVANIANS

Posted by straight shooter on April 15, 2008 under Political

The real Obama shows up in San Francisco … where the real people are?

A question was recently asked behind closed doors in San Francisco as to why Obama was not doing better in that benighted and barbarous land they call Pennsylvania.

Like Dr. Schweitzer, once home from Africa to address the Royal Society on the customs of the upper Zambezi people, Barack described to them the Pennsylvanians he had seen in their native habitats of Atloona, Alquippa, Johnstown and McKeesport.

“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and … the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy [hostility] to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

This once again shows the perfect Hollywood, Harvard, liberal elitist stereotype of the white working class. As Linus clung to his security blanket, Barack is saying Pennsylvanians are just bitter that the world has passed them by and in response cling to their Bibles and guns and naturally revert to ancestral bigotries against “people who aren’t like them” – blacks, gays and immigrants.

Well, thank you Barak Obama for helping us understand, that other than Philadelphia and Pittsburg, most everyone in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is a religious fanatic, a redneck, a racist, or thereby some combination?

It does go to show though, that when you go to the most expensive private school in Hawaii and then move on to Colombia University and Harvard Law School, you may not understand normal Americans – that is the impression I see created by Senator Barack Obama’s recent comments.

For Obama, it seems, the beliefs of normal Americans are so alien to his leftwing viewpoint that he has to seek some psychological explanation for what he thinks are weird ideas. They can’t really believe in the right to bear arms. They can’t really believe in traditional marriage. They can’t really believe in their faith in God. They can’t really want to enforce the law on illegal immigration. And because ordinary Americans can’t really believe these things, they must just be bitter and frustrated.

This is the closest Obama has come to openly sharing his wife’s view that “America is a mean country.” Not since the 1988 Democratic presidential nominee Mike Dukakis have we seen anyone so out of touch with normal Americans. It makes perfect sense that it was at a fundraiser in San Francisco that he would have shared the views he has so carefully kept hidden for the entire campaign … especially in Pennsylvania!

Though he sees himself as a progressive who has risen above prejudice, Barack was reflecting and pandering to the very prejudice of the elite class to which he himself belongs.

A few months back, Michelle Obama revealed her mindset about America with the remark that, “for the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country.” Now Barack has revealed how he, too, sees the country. This so called Great Unifier himself divides the nation into “us” and “them.”

The “us” are the privileged cosmopolitan elite of San Francisco and such, and of course himself with his Ivy League upbringing. The “them” are the folks in the small towns and rural areas of that other America. Because time has passed them by, Barack believes, they cannot, in their frustration and bitterness, be held fully accountable for their archaic beliefs and behavior.

Barack’s remarks are, nonetheless, steeped in condescension. Inherent in his words is that these folks in Middle Pennsylvania are in need of empathy, education, assistance and perhaps therapy for the error of their ways.

This is how Pennsylvanians, or really anyone, is perceived when they disagree with socialism, liberalism, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to bear arms, the government’s responsibility to protect our borders, and for the laws of the land to be enforced.

Obama also said, “Anger over welfare and affirmative action helped forge the Reagan Coalition.” and “Talk show hosts and conservative commentators built entire careers unmasking bogus claims of racism while dismissing legitimate discussions of racial injustice and inequality as mere political correctness or reverse racism.”

In Barack’s mind, black anger and resentment at “racial injustice and inequality” are “legitimate.” But the anger and resentment of white folks, about affirmative action, crime and quotas are born of misperceptions – and of “bogus claims of racism” manipulated and exploited by conservative columnists and commentators to keep the racial pot boiling and retain power.

Barack has stumbled into the eternal failing of the left-wing populist. He cannot concede that the anger of white America – that its right to equal justice has been sacrificed by the liberals – is a legitimate anger. The truth that Barack dare not speak is that reverse discrimination is pandemic and that the folks in Middle Pennsylvania have a valid grievance that ought to be addressed.

So, Barack sought in Philadelphia to redirect their anger with these words: “(T)hese white resentments distracted attention from the real culprits of the middle class squeeze – a corporate culture rife with inside dealing, questionable accounting practices and short-term greed; a Washington dominated by lobbyists and special interests; economic policies that favor the few over the many.”

Barack’s thought here is to blame corporate America, good lobbying, admirable special interests groups, and exceptional economic policies saying they favor the few over the many. I say to you though, that statement really describes the democrats, their liberalism, their special interests, their homosexual agenda, and their socialistic economic policies!

Obama’s remarks about small-town America told us little about small-town America, but a lot about himself. He is yet another cookie-cutter liberal who has absorbed and internalized the prejudices of narrow-minded socialism. He is an African-American John Lindsay, the great liberal hope of the Nixon-Agnew era, of whom Frank Manckiewicz once said: “He was the only populist he knew who played squash every day at the Yale Club.”

Well Barack, I am a legal immigrant, and I see these people you are so condescending to very differently! I see them as hard working, loving, caring, freedom loving, concerned, patriotic, law-abiding, and strong. They are a people who are concerned enough to not go along with policies and thoughts that are not good for America. If you got off your high horse and really knew anything other than your elitist world, and socialist agenda, you wouldn’t be blind to that fact.

You totally have the wrong motive for the presidency. Stop lying to the people. The more I read, the more I search, the more I understand about you … the more convinced I am that you sir would ruin this great nation called the United States of America.

NEXT STOP FOR BANNING IS THE USA

Posted by straight shooter on April 7, 2008 under Political, Religion, Terrorism

The book America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It is about to be banned in Canada. It has been labeled as “flagrantly Islamophobic” by the Canadian Human Rights Commission, the New York Times America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It bestseller , is now in paperback-and ironically could soon be sold in America alone.

Why is this book so controversial?

According to Canada it’s because America Alone is “alarmist.” Or maybe, just maybe, it’s because Steyn proclaims the unspeakable, yet undeniable truth: the Western world is falling prey to the unrelenting tide of radical Islam, demographically and ideologically. And if we don’t do something soon, one day we’ll wake up to the end of the world as we know it: the end of church bells, replaced by the muezzin’s call to prayer. The end of free speech, replaced by strict, religious-based censorship. The end of liberty and justice for all, replaced by Sharia law.

Think this can’t happen? Guess again. The future, as Steyn shows, belongs to the fecund and confident. And the Islamists are both, while the West is looking ever more like the ruins of a civilization.

Check out England and other European countries if you want proof. Better yet … read the book.

All is not lost though: America can survive, prosper, and defend its freedom. But only if it becomes self-reliant, stays true to itself, and fights for the conviction that our country really is the world’s last, best hope.

If we don’t stand for something, we’ll fall for anything…Canada already has.

By the way, I am Canadian and tolerance to everything but Christianity is killing Canada and America is next!

WHAT A SCARY COMBINATION !

Obama promises alliance with Al Gore

At a town-hall meeting in Wallingford, PA Sen. Barack Obama was asked if he would tap the former vice president for his Cabinet to handle global warming. “I would,” Obama said. “Not only will I, but I will make a commitment that Al Gore will be at the table and play a central part in us figuring out how we solve this problem. He’s somebody I talk to on a regular basis. I’m already consulting with him in terms of these issues, but climate change is real.

This is like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse. Gore stands to make billions through his companies as he scares more and more people into a panic like Chicken Little with his “sky is falling” rhetoric. I’m sure they will try to make it look like it is not a conflict of interest … but it is plain to see now and it will be then. Gore is so self-serving … and Obama wants to help his “friend.”

Obama also said he would use Gore to help forge a cap-and-trade system for carbon emissions designed to lower pollution.

Of course this is the talking from both sides of the mouth deception that many politicians learn so quickly. You know, “I’m going to fight against taxes and high energy costs” right after we institute a system that would increase electricity bills from power companies.

Obama also called on individuals to do their part to lower energy consumption. “All of us are going to have to change our habits. We are a wasteful culture,” he said. Using compact fluorescent light bulbs, energy efficient appliances, and unplugging power chargers when they’re not in use are relatively simple solutions, he said. “Those kinds of simple steps, if everybody takes them, can drastically reduce our energy consumption.”

Hello, is anyone home? Everybody doesn’t have numerous millions of dollars to work with thanks to Oprah, the Hollywood elite, and the liberal special interest groups. If Obama changed his habits he wouldn’t even notice it. For those who live in the real world … it will cost. With prices going up and wages not who can afford new appliances. Those with tight incomes are already unplugging everything they can to save.

What a breath of fresh air it would be if the politicians were half as concerned with the people they are supposed to be serving as they are with their self-serving interests! They only pretend they care until they get your vote and then it is business as usual.

Don’t be fooled, you are being led slowly down the path to socialism by being taken in by rhetoric and not checking out the real facts!

THE TROJAN HORSE … THE DECEPTION OF CONDOMS

Posted by straight shooter on April 1, 2008 under Political, Social Concerns

Trojan’s Answer Is More Lies

So much for truth in advertising! A full-page ad in major newspapers today sponsored by the Trojan company is loaded with misinformation about the effectiveness of condoms in preventing disease. The page leads off with the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) latest report about the number of teens (one in four) who are infected with an STD. “America is not a sexually healthy nation,” the text warns.

Trojan goes and says, “We should evolve the way we approach sexual health in our country.” Not surprisingly, the company’s solution to the problem is supplying more of their product, which the ad implies would help eliminate diseases such as the human papillomavirus (HPV), chlamydia, herpes, and trichomoniasis. Trojan and their liberal sex education allies are out to persuade Americans that condoms make sex “safe.”

Not so, says the very government agency that Trojan quotes in its ad. On HPV, the CDC’s official position on condom efficacy is entirely contrary to Trojan’s. In its report to Congress, the agency plainly states, “The available scientific evidence is not sufficient to recommend condoms as a primary prevention strategy for the prevention of genital HPV prevention.” While condoms may reduce the risk of chlamydia, herpes, and other diseases, it cannot eliminate the risk.

Let alone disease, condoms are not even a reliable method for reducing teen pregnancy. About one in every five teens using condoms becomes pregnant within one year, according to the National Survey of Family Growth. Condoms are incapable of providing the protection Trojan claims they do. Once again, the industry is proving that it cares more about profit than prevention. It continues to astound me that our society is willing to tell youth to abstain from the dangers of drinking or smoking but not premarital sex. If America is truly committed to disease prevention, and the emotional well-being of our teens, then we must be committed to abstinence – the only method that works 100% of the time.

Bottom Line: They don’t protect you … they don’t care about you … just your money!
