1.  It is better to be alone than in the wrong company.  (The proof is everyday we see people miserable as heck because they are hanging with the wrong people.

2.  Tell who your best friends are and you can be told who you are.

3.  If you run with wolves, you will learn how to howl whereas if you associate with eagles you will learn how to soar to great heights.

4.  A mirror reflects a person’s face but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends they choose.

5.  The simple but true fact of life is that you become like those with whom you closely associate in the good and the bad.

6.  The less you associate with some people the more your life will improve.

7.  Any time you tolerate mediocrity in others it increases your mediocrity.

8.  An important attribute in successful people is their impatience with people whose thoughts, words and actions are negative.

9.  As you grow your associates will change.

10.  Some of your friends will not want you to go on … they want you to stay where they are.

11.  Those that don’t help you climb want you to crawl.

12.  People will stretch your vision or choke your dream.

13.  Those that don’t increase you will eventually decrease you.

14.  Never receive counsel from unproductive people.  (We do it all the time, but WHY??  We listen to someone who isn’t succeeding tell us why we won’t succeed.  Does THAT make any sense?)

15.  Never discuss your problems with someone incapable of contributing to the solution, because those who never succeed themselves are always first to tell you how.

16.  Not everyone has a right to speak into your life.  (You are certain to get the worst of the bargain when you exchange ideas with the wrong person.)

17.  Don’t follow anyone who’s not going anywhere.

18.  With some people you spend an evening; with others you invest it.

19.  Be careful where you stop to inquire for directions along the road of life.

20.  Wise is the person who fortifies his life with the right friendships.
