TELLING IT LIKE IT IS !

Despite the questionable impact of the first stimulus package, there is actually discussion of a second stimulus package. So far, the states have spent roughly 10% of the $787 billion package, but it has yet to register on the “recovery” radar. In fact, the only thing that seems to have changed is the unemployment rate – and not in the direction the President had hoped.

Given where the money’s been directed, maybe none of us should be surprised. Mark Kelly of the Heritage Foundation did some digging on where the House Speaker funneled her District’s dollars, and the list of projects is enough to send taxpayers through the roof. Let me put it this way: Nancy Pelosi is trying to stimulate a lot more than San Francisco’s economy. While the average American is worried about losing his shirt, Congress is funding actors who aren’t wearing any!

According to Kelly, $50,000 was sent to an initiative called CounterPulse in San Francisco that just sponsored a “Perverts [Sleep Around]” event on July 25, urging people to “Join your fellow pervs for some explicit, twisted fun!” Another $50,000 went directly to an entertainment group called Frameline that concentrates on promoting the “lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community” in the arts.

Over at “San Francisco Cinematheque,” organizers raked in $25,000 to promote documentaries like “Thundercrack,” of which a reviewer writes, “Witness if you dare, the world’s only underground kinky art porno horror film, complete with four men, three women and a gorilla.” A company called Jess Curtis/Gravity, Inc. will receive $25,000, presumably to help boost their Symmetry Project, which features nude couples in compromising positions.

Other programs are too crude and embarrassing to even mention. But shouldn’t that say something to the third most powerful leader in America? If these projects are too obscene to talk about, what business does the U.S. government have funding them? This isn’t just waste – It’s reckless, indecent garbage sponsored by Congress and paid for by you. If these are the priorities of America’s new leadership, then we should definitely get a second opinion on their vision for an issue as significant as health care. Gym, Geometry or Jihad?

A group of Virginians who are outraged about the plans to expand a Muslim school may have just gotten the ammunition they need to block the project. The Academy, whose activities were suspicious enough to warrant an investigation by a federal commission, has been incredibly controversial since its doors opened. After last year, the U.S. panel actually recommended the school, which is funded entirely by the Saudi Arabian government, be closed. Among other things, reporters found that the textbooks encouraged Muslims to kill adulterers and converts from Islam. According to curriculum obtained by MSNBC in 2008, the Islamic Saudi Academy has been a breeding ground for terrorists. School officials have denied the claims, but that may prove difficult after yesterday’s court ruling.

At the insistence of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, a U.S. District judge increased the sentence of Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, an Al Qaeda operative who was convicted for plotting to assassinate President Bush, from 30 years to life. It turns out that Ali was the valedictorian of his 1999 class at the Islamic Saudi Academy in Fairfax County. So much for teaching peace and tolerance! These schools are fueling the very ideas that made terrorists fly planes into the twin towers! Meanwhile, residents are doing everything they can to stop the plans, even forming an official coalition. The request to expand the Academy is so unpopular in Falls Church, Virginia that 46 people have asked to speak at an upcoming hearing.

In a New York Times article earlier this summer, the head of the group, James Lafferty, said, “We feel that it is really a madrassa, a training place for young impressionable Muslim students in some of the most extreme and fanatical teachings of Islam. That concerns us greatly.” And it should concern all of us who don’t want to experience another 9-11 before our government takes this home-grown extremism seriously.

Obama’s government is not exactly the change people were hoping for.

We’ve Figured Him Out

Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?

Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a “community organizer,” Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill — a great idea in theory — was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.

Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.

The American people already know that Mr. Obama’s plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be – a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away.

These are perilous times. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, has given Iran the go-ahead to have nuclear weapons, an unqualified betrayal of the nation. Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. It will be joined by controls on our lives to “protect us” from global warming, itself largely a fraud if believed to be caused by man.

Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms.

There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America.

President Barack Obama claimed during his Wednesday night press conference that there are 47 million Americans without health insurance as he once against pads the numbers to make them as large as possible in pushing socialized health care.

A simple check with the U.S. Census Bureau would have told him otherwise.

Obama said: “This is not just about the 47 million Americans who have no health insurance.”

That assertion conflicts with data in the Census Bureau report “Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2007.” The report was issued in August 2008 and contains the most up-to-date official data on the number of uninsured in the U.S.

The report discloses that there were 45.65 million people in the U.S. who did not have health insurance in 2007.

However, it also reveals that there were 9.73 million foreigners – foreign-born non-citizens who were in the country in 2007 – included in that number. So the number of uninsured Americans was actually 35.92 million.

And of those, “there were also 9.1 million people making more than $75,000 per year who did not choose to purchase health insurance,” CNSNews stated in a report based on the Census Bureau data.

That brings the number of Americans who lack health insurance presumably for financial reasons down less than 27 million – that is 20 million less than his claim.

The Census Bureau report also shows that the number of people without insurance actually went down in 2007 compared to the previous year while the number with insurance rose from 249.8 million to 253.4 million.

The next Census Bureau report disclosing health insurance data, with 2008 numbers, is scheduled to be released in August.

“This is really not about science,” Singer said. “What is really going on – not only in Washington, but in Europe and elsewhere – is money and power. That is what it’s all about.”

Senators on Capitol Hill may be forced tomorrow to make a choice between approving an important defense spending bill and voting down “hate crimes” legislation. Senate Democrats are once again trying to pass a hate crimes bill by attaching it as an amendment to the Defense Authorization bill.

The hate crimes legislation, known as the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act (S. 909), would add gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability to the list of protected categories under federal hate crimes law. A vote is expected Thursday on the Defense Authorization bill and its accompanying hate crimes amendment.

Bishop Harry Jackson, Jr., chairman of the High Impact Leadership Coalition, warns the hate crimes measure will lead to more than just the prosecution of violent crimes that are deemed bias-related.

“The problem is that the way that they define violence has to do with name-calling, but has to do with an array of different things,” he explains. “And the ultimate issue is going to be that it only takes one or two lawsuits, or the threat of a lawsuit, for there to be a chilling effect on pastors from preaching these passages of the Bible like Leviticus and Romans 1, and many, many other passages as our culture slips more into darkness.”

Those scriptural passages address homosexual acts, which the Bible says God considers to be an abomination.

Jackson and other conservative activists are hoping to persuade a group of about 14 moderate senators to oppose the bill. They include Arkansas Democrats Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, Louisiana Democrat Mary Landrieu, and Republicans John McCain (Arizona) Lindsey Graham (South Carolina) and Judd Gregg (New Hampshire).

It is immoral for these kinds of antics and coercion to have to be endured. Each bill should be going though by itself, not piggybacked, and rise or fall on its own merit or lack thereof!

President Obama is jetting around speaking to countries in Africa telling them they need to bring their governments to accountability and change, take responsibility for themselves for their violence, and stop blaming the West for their plight.

Too bad the president didn’t take his own council about being accountable to the people for irresponsible change and spending!

Let’s look at the reality of his statements.

For the most part trying to bring their governments to accountability and change has brought them death and maiming. Maybe Obama should take his own advice about being accountable for his socialist changes in America. It is socialism, Marxism, and Islamic persecution that have been the basis of the majority of these people’s plights. Any corruption is connected to these factors.

Taking responsibility for one’s actions is important but not useful when other’s actions are causing the majority of the problems. There are many African countries that Islam is continuing to pursue to take over … killing and maiming to gain control. Many have already been taken over by these methods.

The West has not necessarily caused the problems but their contribution to the violence has predominately been their silence to the real truth of what is happening … trying to be politically correct so as not to offend Islam.

The truth of the persecution of people, Christian and non-Muslim, is well known but not reported by the media nor the government. Their silence is both immoral and irresponsible!

The blindness of the American public has been developing by intention since the 1960’s. Most special interest rights groups were targeted by Marxists for ideological control. (Told by a one time member of the American Communist Party.) If Marxists expressed themselves as “communists” no one would have listened to them. Instead, they worked their way into the leadership of various advocacy groups and began conning people within the groups and changing the ideology to a socialistic one. Thus, so called “women’s rights” groups could care less about the rights of conservative women, or Christian women, or women who oppose abortion, etc. To them all that matters is the socialist agenda as far as it can be advanced by women, or Blacks, or Hispanics, or the environment, etc. They are used as pawns.

The media and public school systems were also a primary target of Marxists, just as Marx exhorted them to do. Our young people, and young voters, are showing the effects of this kind of “brain washing” today. Brain washing from indoctrinated professors and teachers utilizing revisionist textbooks and materials that are tailored to the message they desire to have communicated.

This causes people, and special interest groups, today to be willing to see and embrace what they want from Obama, and at the same time steadfastly ignore what is wrong in the consequences of such actions.

I hope that enough people will come to their senses, see Obama and other liberals/socialists for the con artists they are, and where all of this is heading to, if the behavior doesn’t change and put an end to voting these crazy narcissists into office.
